The Backsaver BR Wide Tipper is designed to lift and tip wide plastic bins, pallet crates and other large containers at worktable height.
Unlike our Backsaver ST, the BR has a wider frame and is mainly used as a semi-stationary machine. Its open construction makes it easy to load containers into the tipper using a pallet jack, pallet truck or forklift. The standard BR handles loads up to 900 kg and provides a dumping height of approximately 960 mm at a 100-degree tipping angle.
Improved process: Easy handling of wide containers
Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury. For convenient operation, the BR is equipped with independent controls on both sides of the machine.
After positioning the container, the load is tipped in a smooth motion until the product starts to come out or further to the maximum set angle. The BR can be used for transferring products onto worktables or sorting tables, or integrated into a production line to feed belt conveyors, hoppers and other processing equipment.
The machine normally remains at a specific discharge position, but can still be occasionally moved when required.
Built around your product and process
Depending on your application, we can supply the BR with maximum tipping angles of 90, 100 or 110 degrees. Increased dumping heights are also possible.
Different discharge chutes, extended or raised chute sides and adjustable or customized retaining bars are available to suit different containers and product flows.
Powerful rechargeable battery
The BR is powered by a rechargeable battery as standard, allowing the machine to operate without being tied to a fixed power supply.
The battery is suitable for operation in refrigerated areas and the machine can be plugged in overnight for re-charging. With a fully charged battery, you can handle approximately 50 tons of products.
For stationary applications, we can also supply the BR with mains power instead of battery power.
Operational safety: Gravity lowering and sound alarm
The BR is driven by a hydraulic cylinder and for safety, it uses gravity for the lowering movement.
Hold-to-run up- and down-buttons keep the movement under the operator’s control. An audible backup signal warns people nearby when the machine is moving.
Hygiene and food safety
Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.
The BR has been engineered, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands since the early 1980s, and some of the very first machines are still in use today.
