The Backsaver GLT Giant Lifter/Tipper is designed to lift and tip large bins, Dolav bins, bulk boxes, octabins, pallet boxes, crates and other large containers into production equipment at higher discharge points.

With a maximum, dumping height of approximately 2,200 mm at a 120-degree tipping angle and a load rating of 900 kg (optionally 1.300 kg), the GLT is ideal for feeding equipment such as injectors, tumblers, surge hoppers, filling machines and elevated conveyors.

Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury.

The GLT is normally installed at a specific discharge position. A container is loaded into the machine using a pallet jack or forklift truck and then smoothly lifted and tipped into the next step of the production process.

Its compact, chain-free lift-and-tip system uses triple hydraulic cylinders, resulting in a strong and low-maintenance solution for handling large and heavy containers.

Built around your production process

Every production process is different, so we can configure the GLT around your container, receiving equipment and available space.

The machine can be customized for left-, right- or front-side loading. When required, we can also build the GLT for automatic lifting and tipping, making it possible to integrate the machine further into your production line.

Fixed power supply

The GLT is designed mainly for stationary use and is equipped with a fixed power supply as standard. This provides a reliable power source for intensive use at a fixed discharge position.

Operational safety: Gravity lowering and safety guarding

The GLT uses twin or triple hydraulic cylinders and for safety, gravity for the lowering movement instead of powered lowering.

A safety fence with detection sensors protects the operating area, while an audible warning signal and flashing LED beacon light provide additional warning when the machine is moving.

Hygiene and food safety

Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.

The GLT has been engineered, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands since the 1980s.
