The Backsaver MD Medium Bin Dumper is designed to lift and tip large, high bins, octabins, pallet crates and other heavy containers.

With two hydraulic cylinders and two powerful batteries, the standard MD can handle loads up to 1,200 kg and provides a dumping height of approximately 1,200 mm at a 120-degree tipping angle. When a higher discharge point is required, approximately 1,365 mm can be reached at a 100-degree tipping angle. The same dumping height can also be achieved while maintaining the 120-degree tipping angle when a reduced load rating is sufficient.

The MD is mainly used as a stationary machine, but can still be moved to another position when required.

Improved process: Heavy-duty product handling

Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury. For convenient operation, the MD is equipped with independent controls on both sides of the machine.

The MD can be used to transfer products from one container to another or integrated directly into a production line. After positioning the bin, the product is smoothly tipped to the required angle, eliminating repetitive manual lifting, bending and handling of large containers.

We can adapt the MD to your application with different tipping angles, a tapered discharge funnel, a foldable retention bracket or adjustments for different bin heights. The standard configuration is designed for bins up to approximately 1.2 meters high.

Powerful dual batteries or fixed power supply

The MD is powered by two rechargeable batteries as standard. They are suitable for operation in refrigerated areas. With fully charged batteries, it can handle approximately 60 tons of products without recharging.

The machine can be plugged in overnight for re-charging the batteries. For applications where the MD remains permanently in one position, we can also supply it with a optional, mains-powered connection.

Operational safety: Hold-to-run control and gravity lowering

The MD is driven by two single-acting hydraulic cylinders and for safety, it uses gravity for the lowering movement instead of powered lowering.

Hold-to-run up- and down-controls keep the movement under the operator’s control throughout lifting, tipping and lowering.

Hygiene and food safety

Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.

The MD has been engineered, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands since 2010.
