The Backsaver SD Small Bin Dumper is designed to lift and tip heavy plastic bins, octabins, pallet crates and other large containers.
With two hydraulic cylinders and two powerful batteries, the SD handles loads up to 1,000 kg. The standard version provides a dumping height of approximately 1,000 mm at a 120-degree tipping angle. When a higher discharge point is required, we can increase the dumping height and adapt it to your process.
The SD is mainly used at a fixed discharge position, but can still be moved when required.
Improved process: Transferring products and emptying bins
Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury. For convenient operation, the SD is equipped with independent controls on both sides of the machine.
The SD can be used to transfer products from one container to another or integrated directly into a production line. It is ideal for emptying large bins into buffer bins, hoppers, screw conveyors or other processing equipment.
After positioning the container, the load is smoothly tipped to the required angle, reducing manual lifting, bending and handling of large and heavy bins.
Built around your product and process
The standard SD is designed for bins up to approximately 1 meter high, but we can adapt the machine for different container dimensions and product flows.
Depending on your application, we can supply a tapered discharge funnel, a foldable retention bracket or adjust the funnel bracket for different bin heights. Different tipping configurations are also possible to match the required discharge point.
Powerful dual batteries or mains power
The SD is powered by a rechargeable battery as standard, allowing the machine to operate without being tied to a fixed power supply.
The battery is suitable for operation in refrigerated areas and with a fully charged battery system you can handle approximately 40 tons of products. The machine can be plugged in overnight for re-charging.
For stationary applications, we can also supply the SD with mains power instead of battery power.
Operational safety: Gravity lowering
The SD is driven by two hydraulic cylinders and for safety, it uses gravity for the lowering movement.
Hold-to-run up- and down-buttons keep the movement under the operator’s control throughout the movement.
Hygiene and food safety
Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.
The SD has been engineered, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands since 2012.
