The Backsaver PL Pallet Lifter/Stacker is designed to lift pallets to a comfortable working height for stacking and de-stacking products.
Unlike a conventional scissor lift, the PL can be used for both stacking and de-stacking. Its forks slide underneath the pallet, allowing the complete load to be smoothly raised or lowered as work progresses. We can also customize the PL for handling or stacking boxes, crates or other loads on shelves and racks.
Improved process: Bring the pallet to working height
Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury.
Instead of repeatedly bending down to pallet level, the operator can raise the load to the required working height. With a standard pallet, the PL can bring the top of the pallet to approximately 1,095 mm and handles loads up to 900 kg.
For convenient operation, the PL is equipped with independent controls on both sides of the machine.
A compact, mobile lifting solution
The PL weighs approximately 300 kg and can easily be moved around the facility to wherever products need to be stacked or de-stacked.
This makes it a practical solution for palletized boxes and crates containing products such as meat, fish, snacks or other food products. Heavy-duty locking casters keep the machine securely in position during use.
Powerful rechargeable battery
The PL is powered by a rechargeable battery, allowing it to be used throughout the work floor without being tied to a fixed power supply.
The battery is suitable for operation in refrigerated areas. The machine can be plugged in overnight for re-charging the battery. With a fully charged battery, you can handle approximately 50 tons of products.
Operational safety: Controlled lifting and gravity lowering
The PL is driven by a hydraulic cylinder and for safety, it uses gravity for the lowering movement instead of powered lowering. Hold-to-run up- and down-buttons keep the movement under the operator’s control.
An audible backup signal and flashing LED beacon light warn people nearby when the machine is moving.
Hygiene and food safety
Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.
