The Backsaver PLBR Wide Pallet Lifter/Stacker is designed to stack and de-stack products on and from pallets. It can also be customized for handling boxes, crates, racks or other loads at a comfortable working height.
Unlike model PL, the PLBR is a semi-stationary machine that is normally positioned at a specific working location but can still be moved when required. Its wide frame easily accepts loads from pallet jacks, pallet trucks or forklift trucks.
Compact, semi-stationary lifting solution
The PLBR makes stacking and de-stacking palletized products easier by bringing the load to the required working height. This is especially useful for repetitive handling of boxes and crates containing products such as meat, fish, snacks, burgers or other food products.
With a lifting capacity of up to 800 kg (optionally 1200kg) and a standard lifting height of approximately 870 mm on top of the pallet, the PLBR can handle heavy palletized loads while keeping the product within comfortable reach.
The machine itself weighs approximately 300 kg, making it possible to occasionally move the PLBR to another working position when needed.
Improved process
Backsavers are simple, easy-to-use machines that enhance production and reduce the risk of workplace injury. For convenient operation, the PLBR is equipped with independent controls on both sides of the machine.
A palletized box or crate is loaded onto the lifter using a pallet jack or forklift truck. The load can then be smoothly raised or lowered to the desired working height, reducing repetitive lifting, bending and crouching.
Powerful rechargeable battery
The rechargeable battery allows the PLBR to be positioned without being tied to a fixed power supply. The battery is suitable for operation in refrigerated areas and the machine can be plugged in overnight for re-charging.
With a fully charged battery, you can handle approximately 50 tons of products. For permanent stationary use, we can also supply the PLBR with an optional mains-powered connection.
Operational safety: Gravity lowering with sound and light
The PLBR is driven by a hydraulic cylinder and for safety, it uses gravity for the lowering movement. Hold-to-run up- and down-buttons keep the movement under the operator’s control.
An audible backup signal and flashing LED beacon light warn people nearby when the machine is moving.
Hygiene and food safety
Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are made of stainless steel for easy and hygienic cleaning and are suitable for high-pressure wash-down.
